Rare 1972 promotional film for the original Magnavox Odyssey video game system. This was found in storage at Haverhill TV & Appliance in Haverhill, MA around 2008. RIP Fred Battistini.

Home Video Shop - Seabrook, NH 1984

Here is the local cable TV commercial for Home Video Shop in Seabrook, NH, circa 1984. This store was on Route 1, in the building now occupied by Jim's Tattoo. This was the first video store in the area, and was very successful.
Custom DEVO T-shirt with lights & sound
Переглядів 3 тис.14 років тому
Here is my custom made electronic DEVO T-shirt. Hardcore Devo fans will recognize the "Mechanical Man" soundbite & inspiration from early Devo films. For the letters I used 4 small backlight panels from scrap ipod screens, and the sound is recorded on a modified voice recorder circuit. This is a modern variation of an LED t-shirt I made as a teenager & wore to a Devo concert in 1982.

"12 different and exciting games based on the same game procedure"😂😂 The government wanted to see if people were so stupid to manually install the mkultra's machines in their houses, and yeah they were 👍 They didn't even care to pretend this was serious, they literally advertised it's foolness 🤌

I wonder what a video game console would look like if video games had come out in the 50s? Probably be enough equipment to fill up your garage with all those vacuum tubes.

When you look at this from the 70s, you'll begin to see that video gaming tech has come a very long way in such a very short time. That makes you appreciate the nostalgia even more.

This system used analog circuitry to control the positioning, size, and inertia of the objects on the screen, as well as the video sync pulses. There were no "pixels" or "dot clocks" in this system. There was no CPU either. There would have been some digital transistor logic for identifying things like when the ball went out of bounds or collided with a paddle.

E pensar que mais ou menos 10 anos depois , tinha jogos como : Pitfall, Enduro , Hero... No Atari 2600 que diante dos jogos desse videogame parecem Tecnologia Alienígena versus jogos feitos na era da pedra.

In my opinion the most reliable brand in color tv between the late ‘60s and ‘70s was Zenith. In the same period the brand with the most brightest image and the most brilliant colors was the RCA.

It seems so primitive now, just three dots on a screen with all the graphics being real screen overlays, but back then, this was magic. To a certain degree, I think it still is. Also, consoles these days don't come with 12 whole games in the box!
